We think spring and denim go hand in hand!  From dark denim to light blues and whites….styling your spring denim never looked so fresh!

What’s more refreshing than a little spring cleaning?  Nothing…right? It’s that time of year to start cleaning out your closet and packing away your winter clothes.  Instead of coats, substitute with blazers, wraps, and scarves. Springtime is the perfect time of year to drape a long gauzy scarf over a t-shirt and jeans.

It’s also time to transition to light-weight blazers.  A navy blazer paired with white cropped jeans, wicker bag, and striped mules will take you from running errands around town to a fabulous resort vacation.  Another fresh look is a checked blazer and white t-shirt paired with light blue denim. So cute for a Saturday brunch or a trip to your local farmer’s market!  Can’t beat these double-duty looks!

Needing a refresher course?  Keep wearing your dark and black denim because it works year round.  Wearing a white tucked-in shirt with dark jeans will add a crispness to your spring style…just add a scarf for a pop of color!   Plus, we think a long white shirt or tunic looks especially sharp with dark denim. A stylist tip….a white blazer matched with black jeans never fails to give a classy look.

A new trend is wearing a wrap or button-down dress over your jeans.  We think an Asian inspired floral wrap dress worn over a cami with jeans is perfect for any age.  A fashion blogger on our Pinterest board inspires us; wearing a white midi length dress over dark- wash skinny jeans with black patent heels.  To give it a casual vibe, I suggest pairing it with black espadrilles.

A kimono worn with jeans is another light and breezy springtime look.  Point proven with Anthropologie’s blue and white printed boho-chic duster.  We love the flowy statement sleeves, and of course, it looks awesome with jeans and a tee.  If you like a shorter version, Anthro’s floral kimono in yellow has your name written all over it.

A denim jacket draped over a dress makes for an adorable spring ensemble. To dress it up a bit, pair it with a midi skirt and a bejeweled handbag. And for now, think about wearing a blue jean jacket with a strapless maxi dress. In the heat of the summer, it will look chic draped over your shoulders. Isn’t it refreshing to know you have so many options when it comes to styling your spring denim?  Wow….spring cleaning never looked so stylish!
