Betsy, a standout with the scissors, demonstrated how to cut a five-pointed star in a single snip. He asked her to make the country's flag.
Unsure she could rise to the important task Ross said to Washington, "For the red, the white and the blue. I am not certain if I can; At least I'll gladly try."
Upon finishing her work Ross handed Washington her work saying, "Your country's flag behold!"

Table styling. Stacks of coffee table books on my white leather ottoman, the colors just pop. I love to open the pages beckoning guests to take a look.
The orange book is a vintage Horizon book from 1969 and part of a collection that belonged to my mother. I remember her keeping them in our chic living room on a marble coffee table. It smells like an old library and I love it.
The vintage milk glass dish holds tiny green limes. The gold tray is new and perfectly holds a vintage Japanese tea set.
Old and new create a modern mix.

I had to show you the party in the back first - our signature monogram from @shulerstudio in one of my favorite colors - orange which compliments the @ballarddesignsfortworth fabrics Belize apricot on the back of the chair, and the Kylie linen animal print on the front.
