If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, I’m just enjoying the slower pace of summer.
We kicked off a fun way to connect with friends in June and July called a “Summer of Fridays.” Every Friday night we will feature a different entree, all friends are welcome to bring a side and BYOB and join us by the pool for conversation and good food. I love spending time in my home and hosting gatherings. Equal to that are watching new friendships being made. Let us know if you’d like to stop by. We’d love to have you! This Friday the menu will feature Pizza a la Mr. Bee.

I will be in New Orleans for a few days attending a “Women in Leadership” conference. I’m looking forward to meeting and networking with women across the country seeking ways to grow professionally and personally.
Our galvanized garden is growing beautifully. We have peppers, tomatoes, spinach, tomatoes and basil growing by leaps everyday. I can’t wait to harvest it. I netted 10 quart-sized bags of peaches from The Peach Truck stop in our city. I’ve promised Miss Bee all kinds of recipes using peaches, so stay tuned for that. I ordered their cookbook with over 100 recipes using peaches.
I finished my first graduate school class with an “A.” I hope to share all I learned in a Mrs. Twist Says This podcast soon. In fact, my favorite professional organizer, Elizabeth Jones, will stop by for an interview
, too.
And, we have a new book for our June Mrs. Twist Reads This book club selection Fromage a Trois – a fun story written by Victoria Brownlee about love, Paris and cheese.

Hospitality is in my DNA. I founded Home with a Twist, a daughter’s twist on her mother’s traditions, in memory of my mother to celebrate her life and the gifts she shared with me. Mother loved to celebrate life’s occasions – big and small.
