𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹 - this year I went with symmetry and dried materials to carry me through until Thanksgiving.
The grasses, artichokes, pomegranates and berries are from Trader Joe's several seasons ago, I've carefully stored away. The wheat bundles are from Magnolia Home, again from a few years ago, and I tied them with brown silk ribbon. The blue urns with the brown are beautifully paired.
The only new touch are faux sprigs of seeded eucalyptus to fill in the spaces. Link is in my Amazon store. Check my stories for closeups. Special appearance by Binx.

𝘼 𝙛𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙚 doesn't have to be costly. Everything in this photo was shopped from my home - so use what you already have. Just add one new-to-you piece every year and you'll have a lovely collection.
Creamy Cinderella pumpkins in various sizes, two are ceramic candle holders, sit atop cake pedestals and a rusty iron urn. I tucked eucalyptus (the single item I purchased) under one pumpkin and put a mini topiary inside a vintage Johnson Brothers Friendly Village cream pitcher. And just a splash of animal print completes the look.
Always include a candle for a flickering glow. This tablescape will last well through Thanksgiving.

🍎 It's apple season! I'm sharing the best fall recipe on my website today 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗸𝗲. Filled with four cups of chopped apples, a dash of cinnamon, @molinavanilla Mexican vanilla and butterscotch chips this cake is moist and the perfect anytime treat.

For the Sangria I added 12 oz. of 19 Crimes Snoop Cali Red to the jar filled with Camp's blend of dried fruit refrigerate, spices and a pure cane sugar cube, refrigerate for three days, shake before serving.and pour over lime Topo Chico - so delicious!

My mother always said, "You didn't walk when you were little. You were always in someone's arms."
When I think about my special bond with my brother "Bow" it's knowing how much he loved me. In almost every photo of us together he is holding me.
Sadly, the love he felt for me didn't translate to how he felt about himself and his self care needs. After we lost him to suicide in 2011, I became an advocate for suicide awareness.
Suicide is not inevitable for anyone. By starting the conversation, providing support, and directing help to those who need it, we can prevent suicides and save lives. #NotAlone

🍉𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵! We are devouring the tiny watermelons from Costco. Taste like candy, easy to cut and no waste from the traditional giant watermelons.
Here is a summery and refreshing Watermelon Margarita recipe for your Saturday sipping:
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE DRINK:
Ice, as needed
6 ounces fresh watermelon juice (from about 1 1/2 cups chopped seedless watermelon, blended in a blender)
2 ounces tequila, preferably blanco
2 ounces Cointreau (optional)
2 ounces fresh lime juice (from 1 to 2 large limes)
PREPARATION
YIELD 2 drinks
In a shaker filled with ice, combine the watermelon juice, tequila, Cointreau (if using), and lime juice, shake to combine.
Fill the glasses with ice, then strain the margaritas into the glasses and enjoy immediately. Garnish with a lime slice or a fresh flower from your garden.🌼

I channeled my inner Helen at a lunch I hosted for two of the sweetest TCU alumni from the Class of 1969. We met while I helped them plan their 50th reunion and we've stayed friends ever since.
It was so spirit lifting to embrace and share a meal together at my table. We enjoyed @feastivities_gourmet_to_go chicken salad and orange gelatin. I added a relish tray, banana bread and served slices of sourdough bread from @plantedbakeryfw with French butter. I used my white cabbage dishes from @fortworththewait, placemats from @amymontgomeryhome, napkins from @mytexaskitchen_ and napkin rings from @que_chula_fw.
The best part - party favors were vegetables from my garden!🍅🌶
