👻𝗦𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗢𝗢. When I found these beautiful black dishes at Target I knew they`d make a fun tablescape for Halloween. 🎃
I gathered up things I already had in my party pantry - black and white Buffalo plaid linens and napkins from @amymontgomeryhome, pumpkin appetizer plates, Mexican confetti glassware, bamboo flatware and my @totallytikaa inspired painted pumpkin filled with hot pink and orange Gerber daisies.
My favorite - @brachscandy Fall cream candy mix poured inside a margarita glass. I even used a tiny pumpkin to hold a lucite placecard. Little bats hover over the napkin and on top of the pumpkin. It`s totally bewitching. 🧙

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗹𝗱, 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗲. I have my grandmother`s MCM sewing table. The machine inside is long gone but it hasn`t stopped me from using the table. I spiffed up the drawer pulls with a smidge of Rub-n-buff.
The new to me pink lamp is from @fortworththewait. I switched out the pleated shade for a drum shade. I named the lamp Blanche - tall and curvy she owns the room.
And lastly the blue Chinoiserie foot basin I filled with a huge faux orchid deconstructed from another pot and filled it with green moss. The gold pair of mirrors are a long ago purchase from Target.

In just one month I`ll be back in my happy place in Ogunquit, Maine. I`m excited to vist @stonewallkitchen again where I`ll be sharing all the fun in their "Flavors of Fall" class at the Stonewall Kitchen Cooking School.

Labor Day signals the end of summer, but that doesn`t mean you say so long to refreshing sips. You must try @campcraftcocktails Sangria.
For the Sangria I added 12 oz. of 19 Crimes Snoop Cali Red to the jar filled with Camp`s blend of dried fruit refrigerate, spices and a pure cane sugar cube, refrigerate for three days, shake before serving.and pour over lime Topo Chico - so delicious!
Jabo`s Ace carries all CampCraft varieties and you can save the cute jars and recycle as drinking glasses for another gathering! Cheers!

When I think about my special bond with my brother "Bow" it`s knowing how much he loved me. In almost every photo of us together he is holding me.
Sadly, the love he felt for me didn`t translate to how he felt about himself and his self care needs. After we lost him to suicide in 2011, I became an advocate for suicide awareness.

Here is a summery and refreshing Watermelon Margarita recipe for your Saturday sipping:
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE DRINK:
Ice, as needed
6 ounces fresh watermelon juice (from about 1 1/2 cups chopped seedless watermelon, blended in a blender)
2 ounces tequila, preferably blanco
2 ounces Cointreau (optional)
2 ounces fresh lime juice (from 1 to 2 large limes)
PREPARATION
YIELD 2 drinks
In a shaker filled with ice, combine the watermelon juice, tequila, Cointreau (if using), and lime juice, shake to combine.
Fill the glasses with ice, then strain the margaritas into the glasses and enjoy immediately. Garnish with a lime slice or a fresh flower from your garden.🌼
